Hello world!

I decided that I will no longer be shy to blog again. I started Pandesal ni Nica in 2008 with the intention of writing about my life as a college student in California coming from Manila. Back then, I wrote about personal experiences and funny stories I thought were entertaining. In the midst of it all, many things happened in my life and the seriousness of my academics prevented me from continuing my blog.

At the present, I find no excuse to keep silent. The rich knowledge that I have gained from university combined with the humbling experience of mopping floors at a coffee shop are, I think, worthy to share. I envision this blog as an alternative to the usual media-oriented website that promotes superficial messages. I will not dress in fancy clothes and take pictures of myself. Instead, I will tell you stories of the world... its history, conflicts, peace, and nature.

I began this blog in 2008 by describing myself as a "17 year old collge student who enjoys writing 3 liner poems called Haikus. I love to laugh at my creature like friends, east sushi, lick on soft served ice cream, and watch discovery channel."

Such introduction is still true; however, I see myself as an even bigger lover of life today. I hope that after reading my blog, you will be too.
